a daydream?
"run for cover!" they yelled to her.
She simply stared at the beast of the cloud
rolling toward the panicking crowd,
all orange and yellow and loud,
the cloud and the crowd peaking and streaking and scraming and tweaking.
"Where are the exits?" "How do I get off?" were the futile wails and the roiling coughs.
I wonder, how far and how long, and how clean, how frequent,
how messy and staggard my dream...
