margoshka contemplates, ruminates... meditates on life, love, basketball, poetry, choice, and the lack thereof.

    smattering.org >> the friday five

    1. What are the first things that you do in the morning to start your day?
stretch... stumble over to the bathroom ALL the way on the other side of the loft, mubbling "hey" to any of my awake roommates who happen to be milling about. brush teeth, smirk at my raggedy-self in the mirror. then meander back to my room, and usually - sigh - crawl BACK into bed, and then spend the next 5-10-15 minutes talking myself into getting up again.... and choosing an outfit - oh my.
    2. What are the last things that you do at night before going to bed?
drink some water, turn off TNT's "Inside the NBA" after checking all the day's NBA scores, change into my comfy PJ's... ah, heaven...
    3. What daily routine have you recently added to your day?
since I moved to Williamsburg, my extra-special fun commute is taking the L train 3 stops to Union Sq, then transfereing to the 6 uptown for two stops. the important thing to keep in mind is one's placement on the platform for each station, so that I leave the train near a conveniently located exit.
    4. What routine do you wish you get rid of?
i'm getting kinda sick of my morning coffee with muffin/doughnut/egg'n cheese sandwich... also my routine of daily check-ups on what's missing in my life has GOT to go. I'm also rather annoyed with myself for "planning" to do yoga after work and then coming home and napping instead.... but i will not think of that as a routine.
    5. What's the one thing that makes you feel like something is missing if you don't do it some point within your day?
Physical contact... if I haven't hugged anyone, or been hugged by the end of the day I find myself attacking my roommates, as well as subway poles, stuffed animals, and any salty crunchy contents of the cupboards in search of that emotional satisfaction... and all it takes is one good hug.
