haven't written in a while,
been learnin again how to smile.
Wasting time, chasing dimes, draining crime,
stories lame, stories gray, stories fine.
Both pretending unpretentios and serenely one-dimensional
the world turns, but I only mention it
to kill some birds with stones unintentional.
Delivering small silly gestures to the jesters
who have all the answers, but pain festers
a dark red wound on the skin
with flesh out that should be within.
I glorify in my own mind that which I would defy
this fear from which I hide
a strangely secure warm blanket of snow
that covers it all, yet lets it all grow.
Tiny seedlings inside, seeking ground
Little green tenticles spring out, to grasp and surround
those grainy particles of the earth
which hold the promise of life and the curse.
A naked womanly figure melts the resolve
Of onlookers desperate for her to fall
from up above... alone, sad, tall
she jumps but gravity won't call
on her. she feels no tug from the dark gray earth
she only wants to hug the clouds,
and sing out loud,
and fly, and shout... and moan,
as the sun burns with UV radiation
and competitors argue for severe tribulation.
she saught to find the blue of the sky
but has instead - a piece of broken glass in her full-moon pie.
