What's a melancholic girl seeking enlightenment to do? Really! You stop to think about the future, and it just scares the shit out of you. And I'm not usually bothered by such things... but come on now. We're going to war AND I can't have a cigarette with my cocktail as of May 1st. What! The! Fuck!
Ok, breathe... in -- out. Yeah, its ok... just live in the moment. Maybe go eat sushi for dinner after work. Its St. Patrick's Day (happy happiness! to anyone who cares), so we'll all be heading out to party our collective asses off, and smoke-smoke-smoke those cigarettes. Maybe have some good political debates, after a few drinks or twelve.
Yesterday was chill. I took a long long walk, round the neighborhood; breathed some warmth from the air; dusted off my guitar and found a song I can play, played till my fingers got sore; had myself a long think and grudgingly convinced myself that there aint no reason to cry - it just gets the pillow all wet. And when everything is so beautiful and no longer frozen, you just can't worry about healing wounds, and stare morosely at the TV set showing CNN. You gotta give yourself a good hard shake, and recount all the blessings, and quit obsessing about all the bullshit. Is that it?
