artful mindless contemplation

margoshka contemplates, ruminates... meditates on life, love, basketball, poetry, choice, and the lack thereof.

    why can't I be nice?
really! I'm generally a nice person, but when it comes to men - its all icy cool detachment. Which is safe... but doesn't exactly get me a ton of dates for Saturday night. Last night? true I was nice, friendly chatting, and smily - but the boy was behind the bar. Somehow it makes it easier on me. I've got to try smiling more... and if some wack-off starts talking to me, than I can turn on the cool detachment. doesn't that make a ton of sense? rather than hitting on the removed and impossible, like bartenders, I can smile at regular guys. Its not gonna be easy, but I am resolved to up my nice quotient, and that's that.
oh and also - we got a kitty! She's a calico, I want to call her Princess Leia cuz she acts kind of aloof and regal, but loves to be petted and to play. hmm... i'm noticing a pattern in this post.
